چکیده
We investigated the effect of anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (anodal tDCS) on performance full-effort box stepping exercises in athletes and non-athletes. Twenty-one subjects (athletes: five men six women, non-athletes: four women) participated this study. tDCS was applied through two electrodes placed vertex (anode) forehead (cathode). A 2-mA for 15 minutes, while sham different days with similar electrodes. Participants were asked to apply a maximal effort up down 10-cm tall 20 s following termination tDCS. The repeated three times rest. number total steps significantly increased compared degree increase more prominent non-athletes than athletes. In non-athletes, differential pattern fatigue between stimulus conditions observed. contrast, significant modulation not detected Our findings improved depended training level subject group; implies descending command from CNS active muscles by It is suggested that neural controlling complex leg movements due higher

W6: Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation Workshop
It is an Intensive 1-day course for introducing utilizing transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in an applied format. This technique is a noninvasive brain stimulation that uses direct electrical currents over the head to stimulate specific parts of the brain which modulates neuronal activity. It has strong potentiality in the field of medical and neuroscientific research. Anodal stimu...
متن کاملDelayed enhancement of multitasking performance: Effects of anodal transcranial direct current stimulation on the prefrontal cortex.
BACKGROUND The dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) has been proposed to play an important role in neural processes that underlie multitasking performance. However, this claim is underexplored in terms of direct causal evidence. OBJECTIVE The current study aimed to delineate the causal involvement of the DLPFC during multitasking by modulating neural activity with transcranial direct curren...
متن کاملAnodal transcranial direct current stimulation enhances procedural consolidation.
The primary motor cortex (M1) area recruitment enlarges while learning a finger tapping sequence. Also M1 excitability increases during procedural consolidation. Our aim was to investigate whether increasing M1 excitability by anodal transcranial DC stimulation (AtDCS) when procedural consolidation occurs was able to induce an early consolidation improvement. Forty-seven right-handed healthy pa...
متن کاملEffect of Anodal Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation on Autism: A Randomized Double-Blind Crossover Trial
The aim of this study was to evaluate the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC), and Children's Global Assessment Scale (CGAS) after anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in individuals with autism. Twenty patients with autism received 5 consecutive days of both sham and active tDCS stimulation (1 mA) in a randomized double-blind cros...
متن کاملEfficacy of Anodal Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation is Related to Sensitivity to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
BACKGROUND Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has become an important non-invasive brain stimulation tool for basic human brain physiology and cognitive neuroscience, with potential applications in cognitive and motor rehabilitation. To date, tDCS studies have employed a fixed stimulation level, without considering the impact of individual anatomy and physiology on the efficacy of t...
